We are currently looking for a resource acting as general ledger accountant in the FIN OPS General Accounting - team with a potential for growth in the function. The team is operating the accounting of the Belgian companies of the Worldline Group as well as the accounting of the Slovakian branch, the Czech company and the Swedisch company with its entities in USA and Brasil. 

The tasks of the accountant consist of:

  • Assisting to the management of ledgers, postings and provisions
  • Reconciling general ledger accounts, performing analysis
  • Liaising with payment scheme flow department for accounting related topics
  • Assisting to the preparation of the accounts and internal and external reporting, tax reporting included (in collaboration with local advisors)
  • Being the first Point of Contact for accounting and tax aspects into FIN OPS for the different stakeholders (Swedish Company including USA and Brasil, controllers,…)
  • Educated to graduate degree in accounting or to bachelor degree level in business management
  • Knowledge of general ledger accounting IFRS and BE GAAP
  • Knowledge on Belgian VAT and income taxes
  • Experience in a similar function
  • Language skills:
    • Good written and oral English language skills
    • Very good Dutch and/or French written and oral language skills is a plus
    • (Basic) knowledge of written Swedish language is a plus
  • Experience with SAP accounting tool is a plus
  • Experience with delivering accounting services as an outsourced service is a plus
  • Occasional travel to Sweden could be required
